SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it's alarmed with regard to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of website clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance place established for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to permit the servicing of all prospects and boost entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
